Description, Sara Roach
My name is Sara Roach and I am a student at UMBC in Baltimore, Maryland. I attended Anne Arundel Community College and completed the first two years of my college education there before transferring to UMBC this past fall. I am currently enrolled in my third year as a biology major at UMBC but I have recently gained acceptance into Wingate University School of Pharmacy in Wingate North Carolina, and I plan to transfer into pharmacy school in the fall of 2007 before completing my bachelors degree. I work part time at Walgreens as a Pharmacy Technician and I have worked there for almost a year. Between work and school I have very little extra time, and majority of my free time is consumed by my animals. I have two dogs (Brandy and Dora) and an African Grey parrot (Dexter), which require much attention on a daily basis. I have a little sister named Caitlin, she is a senior at Chesapeake High School, and my family owns a flower shop where I help out on weekends and holidays. I try to spend any left over free time with my friends, either hanging out on campus or eating out. When I’m out with my friends I love to go to Dave and Busters, especially during the week when it is less crowded. Occasionally, my friends and I go to the movies and attend events at UMBC. When I have time in the evenings, I like to work out at the gym on campus and I attend work out classes whenever I can. Since I am now transferring without a degree I do not actually need to take Spanish, but with my position at work I am constantly trying to communicate with individuals from Spanish speaking countries that are unable to understand English. I hope that upon completion of this course I will be better able to help those individuals.
